Greg Hughes received his Master of Arts degree from Princeton Theological Seminary and his Doctorate from Samford University. He is an ordained pastor with over 25 years of pastoral counseling experience. He blends the cognitive behavioral model with spiritual insights and practices in helping people work through grief, depression, addiction, marital and family issues. He has experienced the pain and trauma of close family members and friends who have suffered with substance abuse, and consequently is passionate about working with people in recovery. Greg’s goals for his group are to develop and foster a safe environment for clients to explore spirituality, to help them process their past and present positive, negative or indifferent attitudes towards a higher power (whatever that might be for them in a 12 Step program), and ignite a spiritual quest that strengthens their resolve for sobriety. Greg is also Senior Pastor of Malibu Presbyterian Church.
